Colin has more than a decade of experience providing information technology, security, and cybersecurity management services to the United States government and commercial industry. His technical background allows him to bridge the gap often experienced between cybersecurity professionals, engineers, and the functional community.
In 2006, Colin founded Excentium because he recognized that security and compliance need not be road blocks to innovation and business growth. He believes that when integrated into every facet of the systems development/project life cycle and an organization’s culture, security can become the foundation of an organization’s capacity to thrive. This guiding principle embodies the Excentium mission.
Prior to launching Excentium, Colin managed Information Assurance (IA) and security for the Defense Health Agency (formerly TMA). Colin built and managed the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) team for the Joint Medical Information Systems (JMIS) office under the Defense Health Agency. He has directly supported the Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA) and provided Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relation to cybersecurity to government leaders in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Defense Health Agency, and Health and Human Services (HHS).
