The Department of Labor hosted its annual HIRE Vets awards ceremony honoring businesses that invest in the recruitment, employment and retention of our Nation’s Veterans. Excentium was presented with the HIRE Vets highest award, the Platinum Medallion Award. To qualify for the Platinum Medallion, a company must have a minimum of 10% of their new hires be Veterans or have at least an 85% retention rate of Veterans employees from the prior year with a minimum of a 10% Veteran workforce.

As a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a former member of the US Air Force as its President & CEO, Excentium’s core capabilities and key accounts have been centered around Military and Veteran Healthcare IT. Just supporting Military Health is not enough for Excentium; a key focus area since company inception has been Veteran hiring. And it shows – Excentium now boasts a Veteran employment percent of over 30%.

“On behalf of Excentium, we are humbled today,” said President & CEO Colin Corlett. “I had a proud sense of Patriotism attending today’s event. Excentium will always be a place where we welcome our Veterans back into the workforce and provide the training and career paths needed to be successful after their service is done. We look forward to being back next year as a Platinum Medallion awardee.”
